Did the same still life with skylight for a couple of days to see if I could progress. Much harder to spot the highlight and the values are much closer. Bounce light in the shadow is something wierd, when you look at the object it pops out, but when you look at it for a while it dissapears or jumps around ;s. Maybe just the eyes getting effected from moving back and forth from the computer screen. Got frustrated as it got worse each day, tested my patience alot wich I need to rebuild. Anyway, just stopped painting and spend some time drawing. Picking it back up again.
